Quilting with Stash Bandit – Scrap Quilt Explosion: Bethlehem Star

Date & Time

July 20
10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Class Description

This is a fun block where you can learn about stitch-and-flip, value and contrast and creating a mood with your fabric choices. Your quilt can be scrappy but it still needs some kind of a theme: color, era, season, etc.

Supplies: Raid your stash and bring about 20 fat quarters that play nicely together. If you need help, we can shop in the fabric department on the day of class. About ⅓ of the fabrics should be lights, about ⅓ should be mediums and about ⅓ should be darks. Be prepared to share fabric with others in the class, and I will bring lots of fabric to share as well.

– Sewing machine in good working order, all purpose presser foot and the machine’s manual.
– Neutral color of thread for piecing, 50 or 60 weight
– General sewing supplies: pins, scissors, etc.
– Rotary cutter and ruler
– Small ruler for marking patches
– Marking tool: mechanical pencil or washout marker

*Pattern is included in the cost of the class
