You will be provided with a 4” cake with a box to take it home, frosting, and tools to use in class to help you create a fun finished cake to take home or even bring to your tailgate party for the big game!

*If you prefer a different kind of ready made candy from malted milk balls, please bring it with you, or you can purchase candy from Mangelsen’s.

Meet the Instructor

Nancy Lee - Corner House Treats

I started baking with my cousin around age 8, and made the Stars & Stripes cake every year for my parents’ annual July 4 Block Party! I started learning to truly decorate cakes in 1990, and have been doing so ever since – including making my own wedding and groom’s cakes! Combine this with a degree in Education, and you can guess that I love teaching, baking and decorating! I am a Cottage baker: A cottage baker is a baker that runs their entire business from their home. From the baking to the packaging, all of it is done in home. To do this, Nebraska requires a certification and the passing of a food safety class, both of which I have accomplished. I am allowed to bake items in my home and sell the directly to the customer.
